British opposition supports soft Brexit

The opposition Labor Party supports Britain to remain within the single Market and the European Customs Union during the transitional period after Britain leaves the European Union. The party spokesman said they would seek to maintain the same basic conditions as the European Union, including freedom of movement beyond March 2019, when Britain leaves.
The Labor Party is working to spare Britain the negative effects of the sudden break-up in less than two years. The spokesman also said his party would aim to preserve the EU's customs union and possibly establish a new relationship with the single market.
On the other hand, senior British government ministers ruled out the idea of staying in the single Market and Customs Union during the transitional period.
