UAE Energy Minister Suhail Al Mazrouei said he did not want oil prices to reach levels that threaten the growth of the global economy. The comments come as markets are closely watching Qatar's exit from OPEC and the implications for global markets.
Al-Mazroui added that the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) has stopped for a long time from pursuing oil prices because this is not logical and practical. Finally, he said that Qatar's exit from OPEC should not be unsettling, especially since it is not very influential in the Organization.
