The European Commission will propose allocating 750 billion to the European Union economy to help it recover from the coronavirus crisis, German news agency DPA reported on Wednesday

Of the total amount, 500 billion will be in the form of grants, while 250 billion will be earmarked for loans, according to sources

This proposal differs from a previous call for a 500 billion grant to assist the economy proposed by French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
