Asian stocks are falling during trading today as the number of COVID-19 cases rises in Europe and the US at a time when decision-makers in China are meeting to take more stimulus measures.
The US has seen record new cases in the past two days, France also set a new daily record over the weekend, and Spain has declared a state of emergency.
The MSCI Asia Pacific Index of stocks outside Japan rose 0.1%, still below its recent 31-month high, while South Korea's benchmark index declined 0.3%.
