Reuters polls suggest the end of US dollar dominance

According to the latest opinion poll conducted by Reuters on 62 foreign exchange experts that the dominance of the US dollar has already ended, 39 people believe that the rise of the dollar has reached its peak. For the major pairs, the EURUSD is expected to reach 1.20 in one year, the GBP/USD to 1.38 within one year, and USD/JPY to 108.00 at the end of 2019.

Surveys show that market sentiment has been greatly influenced by Trump's protectionist policies and trade disputes with China. As opposed to the Federal Reserve's intention to continue monetary tightening and raise interest rates despite the risk of slower economic growth. Given the bullishness of the US currency last year, this could lead to a long period of recession for the dollar in the first quarter at the very least
