Nvidia's stock has surged by 78% this year, fuelled by the AI boom, which has lifted the value of AI-related stocks. In Q4 2023, Nvidia reported a net income of $12.29 billion, or $4.93 per share, marking a 769% increase from the previous year's $1.41 billion or 57 cents per share. Revenue jumped by 265%, driven by strong sales of AI chips for servers, notably the "Hopper" chips like the H100. In March, Nvidia introduced the NVIDIA Blackwell GB200 microchip, allowing organisations to deploy real-time generative AI on large language models at up to 25 times lower costs and energy usage than its predecessor. Priced between $30,000 and $40,000, the chip promises significant cost savings and efficiency. Nvidia plans to build a $200 million AI centre in Indonesia in collaboration with Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison, expanding its presence in Southeast Asia.
