Technical analysis of Airbnb shares

From a technical perspective, Airbnb’s share price maintains a long-term bullish trend. Primary structural observations include:

  • Trend Context: On long-term timeframes, Airbnb preserves a market structure defined by a consistent sequence of higher highs and higher lows. The price continues to trade comfortably above its 50-, 100-, and 200-day Simple Moving Averages (SMAs), confirming underlying upward momentum.
  • Resistance Levels: Should bullish momentum persist, the next critical barrier sits at the $200 psychological ceiling. A decisive breakout and close above $200 would open the path towards higher valuation levels up to the historical high of $216.
  • Support Levels: If immediate support at $178.70 fails to hold, the primary structural floor is identified at $169, where the Volume Profile’s VAH level and a structural pivot point converge. A failure to defend the $169 level would significantly increase the probability of a deeper market correction.
  • Momentum and Volume: Both the Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) and the Relative Strength Index (RSI) are currently situated in overbought territory, pointing to potential momentum exhaustion. Nevertheless, fundamental factors are expected to remain the predominant driver of future market direction.
